Happy Earth Day!

Safe Drinking Water AfricaThis Earth Day I want to talk about WATER. Every day we turn on our taps, and fresh, readily-drinkable water comes out. We do not experience any sort of “Wow!” factor. In fact, we’ve come to expect this, and almost take it for granted. Yet millions of people in the world do not have access to such luxury.

My goal is to help spread the word about water, and to ultimately see safe, affordable and sustainable drinking water, along with adequate sanitation, thereby saving lives and ensuring a healthy tomorrow.

Please take a moment to watch this short documentary. “Running Dry” is a comprehensive public information/education project, established to raise awareness regarding the worsening global humanitarian water crisis.  I’ve decided to post the segment on South Africa, since I will be travelling there in less than one week.

Running Dry – South Africa

So, today when you pour yourself a nice glass of water to quench your thirst, take a moment to be grateful and maybe think twice about how you can personally contribute to its sustainment.

Thank you, drink up, and adventure on!
